Book Review - The Imposter

I read The Stoney Ridge series by Suzanne Woods Fisher and thoroughly enjoyed her writing and the way she developed her characters - they were amusing and fun! To read another book of hers was no chore - I looked forward to it. Some of the characters from the other series were included in The Imposter so it was like coming back to old friends.

The story line was great in this book as well. I found that there were some real life situations like teenage pregnancy and gambling that are not typically a part of the Amish books. I think what I enjoyed most about the book was while the imposter was revealed near the end - there was also a second chance and grace for that character. Also, earlier in the book when others would try to discredit a genuine man of faith - someone was willing to stand up for what was right. The storyline between the pastor and the school teacher was great and so was the story about Jesse and him learning so much than he bargained for in the buggy business! Again there was grace shown in Jesse's story line as well.

I look forward to reading the next book in the series "The Bishop's Family."
